When They Brought This Dog Home From The Shelter, They Never Expected This

Ruth Anne Montez knew what she wanted for her next dog. She was looking for a small, white, and fluffy female dog. Instead, she met Thunder, a dark colored husky-shepherd mix who was a) male and b) likely to grow to be around a hundred pounds. Ruth was in love. She took Thunder home knowing that he’d had previous training as a service dog.
She decided to introduce Thunder to her friend, Larry Thronberg, who was a Vietnam veteran and blind in one eye. Those two hit it off immediately. Thunder nudged Larry whenever he was about to bump into anything, and Larry felt more comfortable around Thunder. Ruth went into the animal shelter with a vision, but she came out with a pet that she never expected — and one that changed two lives for the better.
