Couple Take Home A Special Cat Everyone Ignored At The Shelter. Now 2 Years Later…

Now, let’s be honest. If you saw this cat at a shelter – would you want to adopt it and take it home with you? He and his sister had been left at the Happy Cats Haven shelter in Colorado Springs, CO when their owner moved away. He was overlooked for months at the shelter.
Then one day, Dizzy, the cat, was offered a forever home! Melanie said she and her husband Sal saw Dizzy’s picture on Petfinder and were smitten!
Melanie and Sal’s cat, Meatball, had recently passed and they were ready to get another cat to add to their family. Dizzy got the honor.
Other than his snaggle tooth and missing eye, Dizzy was normal. He was a little shy at first, though, according to Melanie.
Melanie and Sal adopted both Dizzy and his sister, P2D2 (a long haired tortie).
Dizzy’s veterinarian says that Dizzy has a misshapen skull and was probably born like this, he is missing an eye, and one nostril is closed.
Melanie reports that he often will circle clockwise, as sort of a tic, and he has a ‘crazy mode.’ But then again, most cats do!
Dizzy has a favorite toy – a banana catnip toy that he likes to catch when it is thrown. A few weeks ago, Dizzy’s snaggle tooth fell out unexpectedly.
But, on normal days, Dizzy and P2D2 take turns being king of the cat tree.
